Great to meet you!

I provide culturally competent, decolonized therapy for individuals ages 14 and up. My specialty is marginalized communities (POC, women, LGBTQIA+, across all abilities) and Christian empowerment, offering a safe space where your faith and culture are assets, not barriers. As a Doctoral student and Licensed Counselor, I move away from stiff, clinical interactions to offer a real, human connection.

I operate from a strictly client-centered model: you decide what we talk about, and I support you with the tools to navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. If you are looking for a therapist who "gets it" without you having to over-explain, I'd be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

I operate from a radically Client-Centered perspective. This means that you set the agenda for every session. I am not here to pathologize you or force a specific curriculum on you. Some weeks, we might dig deep into trauma or faith; other weeks, we might just process the stress of work or school.

I bring my full, authentic self to the room, humor and real talk included, so you feel safe doing the same. My goal is to create a "judgment-free zone" where you can unmask, breathe, and explore your mental health without feeling analyzed under a microscope.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about the "vibe check." I know starting therapy can be nerve-wracking, so my main goal is to make you feel comfortable. We won't dive into your deepest traumas immediately unless you want to. Instead, we'll treat this as a conversation. I'll ask about what brought you in, what you've liked (or hated) about therapy in the past, and what "healing" actually looks like to you.

There is no pressure to "perform" or have all the answers.

Because I work from a client-centered model, I’ll ask you: "What do you need from this space?" Whether you need tools for anxiety, a place to vent, or help navigating a life transition, we will map that out together. You can expect warmth, transparency, and a space where you never have to code-switch. By the end of our time together, I want you to walk away feeling heard and validated, with a clear sense of how we can work together to reach your goals.
