Great to meet you!

Looking for care that goes beyond a prescription? I'm Chelsea, a psychiatric nurse practitioner and owner of Thrive Psychiatry Colorado. In our work together, I will take time to listen and create a personalized plan that blends modern psychiatry with holistic care, always with curiosity, compassion, and a whole-person lens. I combine psychiatry with integrative wellness to support both mind and body. My journey began in yoga and doula work, and over the past 20 years I’ve also worked in nutrition, eating disorder treatment, community mental health, private practice and pediatric emergency medicine.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatry is holistic and individualized. In addition to medication management, I incorporate tools such as genetic testing, vitamin and hormone assessments, lifestyle modifications, and motivational interviewing to build evidence-based treatment plans. I specialize in perinatal mental health, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, and first episode psychosis, as well as mental health concerns related to chronic illness such as Lyme disease, mold toxicity and EBV.

I enjoy working with a wide variety of populations and am an LGBTQ+ ally. I believe in treating mental health from multiple angles to promote lasting well-being.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will include a comprehensive 75 minute intake, where we’ll explore your mental health history, family background, medical conditions, current symptoms, and—most importantly—your mental health and life goals. Together, we’ll build a care plan and medication regimen tailored to your needs, with regular follow-ups to assess effectiveness, manage side effects, and identify opportunities for continued growth. I believe lasting healing happens when we treat the whole person. Whether you're seeking support for a specific condition or looking to cultivate greater balance and well-being, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey.
