Great to meet you!

Are you overwhelmed by the stress and chaos life can bring and don't know where to start? Maybe your alcohol or drug use is negatively impacting your life. Are you wanting support for recent or past trauma? Maybe, you simply want to become a better version of yourself and want someone to help guide you. My name is Chelsea and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Colorado.

My experience includes working at a domestic violence shelter, a college counseling center, a county jail, and outpatient treatment center. I recently helped create an Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Use Disorders, the highest level of care in Southwest Colorado. My top treatment interests include Drug and Alcohol Abuse or Substance Use Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, ADD & ADHD, Trauma & PTSD, life transitions, work & school stress, and burnout.

My approach to therapy

I am non-judgmental, down-to-earth, compassionate, friendly, and can be direct when I need to be. I try to make counseling fun and relatable, when appropriate. Swearing is welcome in my sessions. I want to get to know the real you! I provide direction, education, skills, and compassionate support to help you make progress towards your goals. I welcome feedback from my clients on how I can be a better therapist for you. I tailor my approach to meet your needs and preferences.

What you can expect from me

I like to to a well rounded first session to get to know each other and explore different parts of your life and history that might impact the reason(s) you are coming to therapy. We will go over expectations and set some goals to help you get started on your healing journey.
