Great to meet you!

I am the owner and clinical director of a growing private practice, Desk of Dr. B, where I work alongside several therapists whom I supervise and support. When you reach out through Headway, you are connecting with my private practice. Depending on availability and your needs, you may work directly with me or with one of the experienced therapists on my team.

Regardless of which provider you work with, you will receive individualized, thoughtful care. I remain actively involved in the practice and provide clinical oversight and support to my team to help ensure that clients receive quality care and a provider who is a good fit for their needs.

I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified life coach with over two decades of experience helping individuals heal, grow, and live more fulfilling, authentic lives. I have supported clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, career and life transitions, relationship challenges, and family dynamics.

Whether you work directly with me or with one of the therapists on my team, our goal is the same: to create a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique story, and I believe therapy should be just as individualized. At Desk of Dr. B, our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in meeting you where you are while helping you understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.

Therapy is a partnership. We value open and honest communication and want you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself in the therapeutic relationship. Your therapist will listen without judgment, offer perspective, challenge you when it may help you grow, and support you as you work through the concerns that brought you to therapy.

We also believe therapy can be about more than simply getting through a difficult season. It can be an opportunity to better understand who you are, reconnect with your values, recognize your freedom of choice, and become more intentional about the life you want to create.

Our goal is for you to develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and the tools to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to begin building a therapeutic relationship and create a clear understanding of what you need support with. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re experiencing right now, what you hope will be different, and what you would like to work toward.

Your therapist will take time to understand your story, your strengths, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you. We’ll also begin identifying patterns, concerns, or areas of your life that may be getting in the way of how you want to feel or live.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. You simply need to come as you are. Together, we’ll determine where to begin and what approach will be most helpful for you.

Most importantly, you can expect to feel heard, respected, and supported. Whether you are navigating a specific challenge, moving through a major life transition, or simply know that something needs to change, we’ll start where you are and work together toward greater clarity, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
