Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with advanced certification in the treatment of substance use disorders (CARN-AP). With over 17 years of experience in behavioral health nursing, I'm passionate about delivering high-quality, stigma-free mental health care—especially to those in high-exposure professions such as healthcare, law enforcement, the military, and emergency services.

I am the founder of Frontline Behavioral Health, a practice born from my deep commitment to "care for those who care for us." After witnessing the toll of the COVID-19 pandemic on frontline professionals, I committed to creating a safe space where they could receive expert, compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.

My clinical expertise includes the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. I am skilled in psychopharmacology, harm reduction strategies, and person-centered care planning. I integrate evidence-based screening tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, CSSRS, CAGE-AID) into my practice and regularly collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.

As a doctoral-prepared provider, I bring a unique perspective grounded in clinical excellence, policy development, and advocacy. I have authored policies and procedures to support regulatory compliance and improve access to behavioral healthcare across settings. My work reflects a commitment to both clinical innovation and systems-level change.

My approach to therapy

When working with clients, I believe in building genuine, human connections. I take the time to truly get to know each person—not just their symptoms, but their stories, strengths, and struggles. My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and trust.

I also bring a wicked sense of humor to the therapeutic space, which often helps break down barriers and create a more relaxed, open environment. Laughter, when appropriate, can be healing—and I find that it often serves as a bridge to deeper conversations and meaningful progress.

Above all, I believe in meeting clients where they are—with empathy, cultural humility, and unwavering support. Whether helping someone navigate early recovery or return to work after a mental health leave, my approach is always guided by dignity, respect, and a shared path toward healing.

What you can expect from me

As one of my clients, you can expect a blend of evidence-based care and real-world honesty—delivered with a sense of humor. I believe healing doesn’t always have to be heavy, and sometimes a good laugh is part of the work we do together.

I take a direct and transparent approach, because clarity and accountability are key to meaningful progress. I’ll challenge you when needed, cheer you on always, and walk alongside you as a true partner in your care. And yes—there will be homework. Growth doesn’t just happen during our sessions; it happens in the work you put in between them. I’ll bring my full commitment to your wellness journey, and I’ll ask the same of you.
