Great to meet you!

I bring over 27 years of experience in education and counseling, having served as a secondary educator and school counselor before transitioning into private practice. I’ve been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011 and currently provide therapy both online for adults and in person for youth through school and non-profit programs. I earned my M.Ed. in Counseling from Texas State University and hold degrees in Historical Studies and Secondary Education. My background allows me to understand the complex interplay between learning, development, and emotional growth.

I’m deeply interested in how trauma impacts individuals and am continuing my professional development through training in Somatic-based approaches such as EMDR, Somatic Counting, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). My goal is to help clients reconnect with their innate capacity to heal, evolve, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration. I believe that therapy is a sacred space where clients can explore both their light and shadow sides without fear of judgment. Through honest reflection and compassionate dialogue, I help clients process pain, uncover patterns, and move toward greater self-awareness and empowerment.

I draw from person-centered, trauma-informed, and mind-body approaches, integrating techniques that promote emotional regulation, self-compassion, and resilience. I see each client as the expert of their own life and my role as a supportive guide on their journey of healing and transformation.

I believe that everyone has a purpose and that life’s challenges provide opportunities for growth and evolution—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a gentle introduction—a time to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and identify what you hope to gain from the process. You can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where you are encouraged to share your story at your own pace.

We’ll explore your goals, review your background, and begin to establish the foundation of trust, honesty, and non-judgmental understanding that supports meaningful therapeutic work. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, validated, and hopeful about the path ahead.
