Great to meet you!

I work with folks who are navigating the long-term impact of relational trauma where emotional and mental safety, comfort, and protection were inconsistent or absent. You learn how to feel your feelings without becoming overwhelmed, ashamed, or numb. We work to uncover the ways in which old beliefs keep you stuck. We explore your needs and wants, what you stand for, and help you develop a healthy sense of self and hold on to that self in the face of social expectations and social pressure.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My work is grounded in polyvagal theory, and I take a trauma-responsive, somatically-oriented relational approach. PVT is a theory that describes the ways the autonomic nervous system works and its impact on your day-to-day, moment-to-moment emotional, mental and physical health. I prioritize safety to help you understand and respond to your own safety needs and feel safe in your own body.

What you can expect from our first session

I work from the premise that we all have inner resources that support our healing and growth. Our work is to uncover and reconnect you to those resources. It is my honor to be a witness to your healing journey and help you develop a healthy sense of self.
