Great to meet you!

My name is Cheryl Carbone and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I received my master's degree in School Counseling from Kean University in 2006. I have been working as a School Counselor since then and started private practice work in 2008. Since I am familiar with the school setting, I specialize in working with students and educators who are dealing with academic stress, burnout, and the pressures of balancing personal, professional, and academic life.

My approach to therapy

I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, providing practical tools and emotional support to help my clients navigate life's challenges. My practice is unique because I take a holistic approach, integrating mental health, lifestyle habits, and personal growth to create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect to explore your current struggles and begin to develop personalized strategies for managing stress, building resilience, and finding more balance in your life. I am passionate about this work because I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and healing, and I’m deeply committed to helping my clients rediscover their strengths and live fulfilling lives.
