Great to meet you!

Too sensitive? Too dramatic? If you’ve been told you’re those things, I look forward to working with you and helping you redefine your story. Too often we identify with what others tell us we are. I’m all about helping you embrace who you actually are.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 20,000 clinical hours, and my specialty is complex trauma and recovery from abuse, including narcissistic abuse, coercive control, and the long tail of growing up in a chaotic or unsafe home.

I also hold national board certification in forensic mental health evaluation; I’m a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, and I’m a Clinical Trauma Professional and Family Trauma Professional. I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program and studied Mind-Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

I work with adults who are leaving or recovering from abusive relationships, people navigating high-conflict divorce or co-parenting, survivors of childhood trauma, and anyone who keeps finding themselves in the same painful patterns and wants to understand why.

My approach to therapy

No one has time to relive their entire life in therapy. I work from a place of finding solutions while honoring your human parts. Rather than treating the same symptoms over and over, I want to understand where they started, so we can address the root and not just the surface. I believe you already have the capacity to heal, and my job is to help you find it and use it. My work is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on mind-body approaches alongside traditional talk therapy.

What you can expect from me

My sessions are a lot like having coffee or tea with someone who will not judge you, will respect you, and will help you make peace with the parts of yourself that are currently making life uncomfortable. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you here and what you want to be different, and you’ll leave with a clearer picture of where we’re headed. You set the pace. You won’t be asked to tell your whole story on day one.
