Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Cheryl D. Hoskins, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and treated with compassion. Seeking help isn’t always easy, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. Whether you’re facing a new challenge or have been struggling for years, my goal is to help you better understand your symptoms, develop effective coping strategies, and find a treatment plan that works for your unique needs and lifestyle. I view every client as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. Building a trusting relationship is the foundation of meaningful care, and I am committed to partnering with you every step of your journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best mental health care is collaborative, personalized, and evidence-based. My approach combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, and supportive psychotherapy tailored to your individual goals. During our sessions, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness strategies, and psychoeducation. Together, we’ll identify what’s working, address what’s getting in the way, and develop practical tools that you can use in your everyday life. While medication can be an important part of treatment, I believe lasting progress also comes from understanding your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to move forward with hope and resilience.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to be treated with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. I want you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that fits your goals, monitor your progress, and make adjustments as your needs change. You’ll receive clear education about your diagnosis and treatment options, practical coping strategies, and encouragement as you work toward lasting emotional wellness. Whether you’re seeking care for the first time or looking for a fresh start, my commitment is to provide high-quality, individualized care that helps you regain balance, improve your quality of life, and feel confident in your path forward. I provide secure telehealth appointments for adults and offer flexible scheduling on most weekdays, evenings, and weekends to make receiving care as convenient and accessible as possible.
