Great to meet you!

I consider it a privilege to help you make the changes you want in your life. Over the years, I’ve seen how the very challenges that bring pain and discomfort can also open the door to growth and becoming more of who you’re meant to be. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Miami University. I’ll support you in building healthier, more satisfying relationships and give you practical tools to manage depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and feeling unwell. Most importantly, I want you to know you’re not alone.

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I draw from Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Developmental, Existential, and spiritual perspectives to help increase self-awareness, foster personal growth, and support overall wellness. I value a therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust, warmth, and respect, and I believe in educating you so you can take an active role in your mental health and relational well-being. With 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families across adolescence, adulthood, and the senior years, I’m dedicated to walking with you through life’s many stages and transitions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll have a relaxed, semi-structured “meet and greet.” I’ll listen closely to what’s bringing you in, ask about your current situation and history, and explore the changes you’d like to see. Together, we’ll start to clarify your goals and what feeling better could look like for you. My guiding philosophy is to create a safe, caring, and highly collaborative environment focused on the outcomes you desire. I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to being part of your journey.
