Great to meet you!

Perhaps you’ve been searching online and recognize yourself in terms like PTSD, OCD, or anxiety—and now you’re wondering, what next? That’s where I come in. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences, clarify what you’re going through, and support you in moving forward in ways that strengthen your relationships, improve your work life, and enhance your overall sense of balance and self-care. Together, we’ll focus on practical tools and deeper insight, so you can feel more grounded, confident, and in charge of your own healing.

Many of my clients grew up in families affected by abuse, addiction, emotional neglect, or divorce. Unresolved family-of-origin dynamics can quietly shape how we respond to stress, conflict, and intimacy. Even as high-functioning adults, early emotional wounds often lead to shame, self-sabotage, and strained relationships.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping people uncover and shift these long-standing patterns. My approach blends Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) with other evidence-based treatments to promote healing, emotional resilience, and lasting change. CFT helps clients move away from harsh self-criticism and toward greater self-understanding and self-kindness.

My approach to therapy

I work with my clients using a team approach — you are the experts on your life and needs, and I can provide the objective and professional perspective that can assist you in sorting things out. I find people, their strengths, challenges, and differences endlessly fascinating. I feel honored when someone engages me to accompany them on the therapy journey.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapies. I work primarily with adults and professionals who are ready to move beyond survival mode and live with greater clarity, purpose, and emotional freedom.

Whether you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, painful memories, or the overwhelming effects of OCD, PTSD, or anxiety, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to create a tailored approach that fits your unique needs.

In our work together, we’ll identify triggers, challenge limiting beliefs, and build practical strategies to help you cope more effectively—without guilt or self-judgment. You deserve support that respects both your struggles and your strengths.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll talk about your hopes for therapy and what you’d like to achieve. I want every session to feel meaningful and give you something practical you can carry into your daily life.

My approach is collaborative and focused on growth. I’ll bring structure, tools, and strategies, while we work together to set goals that feel realistic and important to you. Over time, you can expect to gain new insights, build skills for managing challenges, and see real changes in how you relate to yourself and others.

While we can’t change the past, we can strengthen your resilience, create healthier ways of coping, and move you closer to the life you want to live. Even if therapy hasn’t worked for you before, this can be a fresh start.

Looking for the right therapist can be trying and exhausting, especially during difficult times of life. You have taken the first step, often the hardest. I can help with the next step: we can talk by phone about your needs, and see if we may be a good fit.
