Great to meet you!

Your counseling experience deserves to be individualized and meaningful. As a therapist, together we will focus on your strengths while exploring deeper emotions and behaviors that create your unique self. My approach is based on your personal goals and hopes for change while understanding your personal experiences. In addition to providing counseling services, I work as a medical social worker and bring twenty-six years of experience in the healthcare field. My medical background allows me to comprehensively see clients through the lens of both physical and emotional struggles. My approach to therapy includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused modalities. In addition, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

To achieve balance in my life, I spend time honoring important relationships in my life, including with my young adult children and three dogs. Nature, traveling, and connecting with people are examples of my appreciation for the beauty our diverse world offers.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style leans toward being casual and flexible with a non-judgmental engaging approach.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I am eager to learn about your hopes and goals from therapy. What do you desire to feel different about in your life? I understand that your comfort is equally important so I encourage you to ask questions about my style and experience.
