Great to meet you!

A new diagnosis doesn't just change the person who's sick, it changes everyone around them, and most of the time nobody talks about that part. I work with adults and older adults who are navigating chronic illness, aging, or the kind of loss that rearranges a family's whole rhythm. Before I became a therapist, I spent nearly ten years in hospital case management watching illness ripple through entire families, and that's what led me to this work in the first place. I recently completed a certification in aging because this population and this stage of life are where I want to keep showing up.

My approach to therapy

Together, we look at the whole picture, not just the diagnosis or the symptom that brought you in. We'll pay attention to how your relationships and life experiences are shaping the way you're coping right now, because healing rarely happens in isolation from the people around us. You can expect to walk away with a clearer sense of your own story and more tools for carrying what chronic illness, grief, or a major life transition asks of you and your family. I work especially well with adults and seniors who are facing a health change that's touching their whole household, and who want a therapist who understands both the medical side and the emotional one.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is unhurried on purpose. We'll spend the time getting to know each other, and I'll ask about your background, your goals, and what's brought you to therapy at this point in your life, with no pressure to share more than you're ready for. My hope is that you leave that first conversation feeling genuinely heard and a little more hopeful, with a clearer picture of what our work together could look like. If any of this sounds like where you are, I'd love for you to reach out.
