Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, with much of my career dedicated to working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I specialize in helping people understand how trauma and other life experiences can affect their emotions, relationships, behaviors, and the way they see themselves. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment-based approaches. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki Master, which has deepened my appreciation for mindfulness and the connection between the mind, body, and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, authentic, and down-to-earth. I use a trauma-informed approach and draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based theories based on each person's unique experiences, needs, and goals. I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms; it is an opportunity to understand yourself on a deeper level, recognize how past experiences may be influencing your life today, and heal patterns that may no longer serve you. At the heart of my work is helping people look beyond who they have been told they should be, reconnect with their true, authentic selves, and create a life that feels meaningful to them.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and free from judgment. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and the concerns or goals that feel most important to you. I believe trust develops over time, particularly when working through trauma, so you will never be expected to share difficult experiences before you feel ready. Together, we will begin identifying your strengths, patterns, and goals while developing an approach to therapy that feels right for you. This process also allows me to begin developing a deeper understanding of your true self—the person beyond the experiences, expectations, and patterns that may have shaped you.
