Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Chiedza aka Chi Chi, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. I earned my Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and believe that healing happens when people feel safe enough to be seen, understood, and challenged with compassion.

My work is rooted in the understanding that we don’t exist in isolation—our relationships, experiences, and environments all influence how we think, feel, and connect with others. Whether you’re struggling with communication, navigating a major life change, or trying to better understand yourself, I’m here to help you move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with your values.

I strive to create a space where clients feel accepted without judgment while also feeling empowered to grow. My goal isn’t to tell you who to be—it’s to help you discover who you already are beneath expectations, fear, and old patterns.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, relational, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from family systems, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and emotionally focused interventions to help clients understand the patterns that influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work with clients to explore the deeper stories, beliefs, and relationship dynamics that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we’ll identify practical tools for change while building greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier ways of connecting with yourself and the people around you.

I believe therapy should feel like a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide guidance, curiosity, and support as we work toward the goals that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. I’ll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and the areas of life that feel most important to you.

My priority is creating an environment where you feel comfortable, heard, and respected. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready to. By the end of our first session, we’ll begin identifying meaningful goals and develop a plan that feels realistic, collaborative, and centered around your needs.
