Great to meet you!

As a psychiatrist, I provide psychotherapy and medication management for adults and adolescents. I graduated from Rush Medical University in Chicago and completed a psychosomatic fellowship at Mount Sinai in New York. I work at Columbia Medical Center as a psychosomatic psychiatrist, focusing on the connection between mental health diagnosis and physical illness. I believe all persons are inherently whole and worthy; let's peel back the life experiences that hinder that realization.

My approach to therapy

I view medication as providing a window in which to make cognitive changes towards a worthy mind that works for you; that's more connected to an inner vision of oneself. When I work with a client, my first priority is to be curious and understand the mind before me. I believe that therapy is simply a series of realizations about oneself. After which, one can decide how they would like to facilitate the life they envision for themselves.

What you can expect from me

Medication acts like a rope in helping a mind gain a foothold in climbing out of emotional quicksand. But medication is the beginning, not the goal. As a prescriber, I see medication as a window and an opportunity. Once the medication work has begun, therapy helps you sustain a new thought environment with a clearer mind. There is no “happy pill”, only a willingness to work towards happiness. That’s what I’m honored to help my clients move toward.
