Great to meet you!

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) practicing in California, I provide both therapy and medication management — meaning you can work with one trusted provider for your complete mental health care rather than coordinating between multiple clinicians. I am also a Black, Nigerian-American clinician who speaks Igbo fluently, and I bring both lived experience and clinical training to working with clients from African and African diaspora backgrounds. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or complex life transitions, you deserve care that sees and honors your full experience.

My approach to therapy

My care integrates psychiatric evaluation, medication management when appropriate, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches — including Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and Positive Psychology. I take a whole-person view: your mental health doesn't exist in isolation from your body, your history, your culture, or your relationships. For clients from African or Caribbean backgrounds, I understand the cultural dynamics that often make it harder to seek mental health support, and I approach that with directness and respect — not assumptions. I believe in being honest with clients about what I observe, what options exist, and what we can realistically work toward together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — we'll talk about what's brought you in, your mental health history, any medications you've tried, your family background, and your goals. I want to understand the full picture before making any recommendations. If medication is something we discuss, I'll walk you through the options clearly so you can make an informed decision — nothing is prescribed without your understanding and agreement. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of next steps and what our work together will look like.
