Great to meet you!

Dr. Chioma Ikedinobi, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of healthcare experience. She completed advanced psychiatric training through a post-graduate residency within the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she gained experience caring for veterans and individuals with complex mental health needs. Dr. Ikedinobi treats depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with understanding each individual's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I combine comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic support to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. I strive to create a safe and trusting environment where clients can openly discuss their concerns and actively participate in their care. Together, we work toward improving symptoms, building resilience, and achieving lasting emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will take time to learn about your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, current stressors, and treatment goals. This comprehensive evaluation helps me gain a thorough understanding of your needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. Clients can expect a respectful, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they can openly share their experiences. By the end of the session, we will discuss recommendations, treatment options, and next steps to support your mental health journey.
