Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Chiroshri Bhattacharjee, a licensed psychologist who works with individuals and couples seeking healing and growth. I bring a trauma-informed, culturally affirming lens to every session — I want clients to feel truly seen, not just clinically understood. In addition to my private practice, I work full-time at a hospital, which keeps me closely connected to the realities my clients are navigating day to day. I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology, and my dissertation research focused on the effects of witnessing family violence in childhood, which shapes how I think about relational and attachment wounds.

My approach to therapy

My approach draws on attachment-based systemic theories alongside evidence-based strategies like CBT, DBT, and EFT. I believe healing happens through a mix of dynamic introspection and practical tools — understanding the roots of a pattern while also building concrete skills to shift it. I tailor the blend to each client and couple, with the goal of helping people break free from negative cycles and build more fulfilling, connected lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and talk about what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, relationships, and current challenges so I can better understand the bigger picture. Most importantly, this is a space for you to feel comfortable being yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Together, we’ll identify where to start and begin building a path toward the changes you’re hoping to make.
