Great to meet you!

Have you always felt like a lot - like your brain, your identity, or your experiences don't quite fit the mold? Maybe you're an adult who is learning to navigate neurodivergence and still making sense of what that means. Maybe you're queer, trans, or non-binary and exhausted by therapy that skirts around your actual lived experiences. Maybe you've been through something big - addiction, trauma, or bariatric surgery - and you need someone who won't make you start from scratch. You don't have to explain yourself here.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I also have a special interest in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those who may have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood or emotionally overwhelmed.

My background in higher-acuity mental health settings has strengthened my ability to support clients through difficult emotions with compassion, steadiness, and empathy. I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and experiences.

I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve struggled to find spaces where you feel fully understood. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable showing up authentically, building insight, and creating meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I work to tailor therapy sessions to meet each client's unique needs, goals, and most importantly, lived experiences. I believe that healing happens in the context of connection - I place strong value on building a trusting, safe therapeutic relationship.

I utilize an eclectic style, drawing from evidence-based approaches, including ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness based practices, and strength-based interventions while also recognizing the importance of understanding each person within the context of their relationships, identity, environment, and life experiences.

I strive to balance insight and self-understanding with practical coping strategies that clients can use in daily life. Whether someone is processing difficult emotions, navigating burnout, exploring identity, or working through longstanding patterns, my goal is to help clients feel supported while building greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a supportive and collaborative space where we begin getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, any current concerns, relevant background information, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood while beginning to build a plan that feels aligned with their unique needs and goals. There is no pressure to share everything all at once - we will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
