Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is less about “fixing” yourself and more about finding your way back to who you are underneath the anxiety, shame, grief, or expectations you’ve been carrying. My style is warm, grounded, and relational. I bring curiosity, compassion, and humor into the therapy room while also creating space for the harder things that may not always have words.

I’m an LPC and art therapist, and my background includes work in addiction recovery, grief and loss, and both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. I especially enjoy working with people who are navigating anxiety, depression, recovery, life transitions, identity, and the feeling of being disconnected from themselves. You don’t need to be an artist to work with me—creativity is simply one of the many ways we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to be curious about ourselves rather than critical of ourselves. Together, we’ll slow things down and pay attention to patterns, emotions, relationships, and the different parts of you that may be trying to protect or guide you.

I integrate evidence-based approaches with mindfulness, parts work, art therapy, and other experiential practices when they feel supportive. Sometimes our work may involve developing concrete coping skills; other times, it may mean sitting with grief, exploring an old pattern, or understanding why something continues to feel stuck. I don’t believe therapy needs to follow a rigid formula. We’ll shape the work around you, your needs, and what feels meaningful in your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know one another. I’ll invite you to share what has been bringing you to therapy, what life has felt like lately, and what you hope might be different—but there’s no expectation that you tell me everything at once.

I know starting with a new therapist can feel vulnerable, so I try to make the first session feel conversational and grounded rather than like an interview. We’ll begin exploring what you need, what has or hasn’t worked for you before, and what you’d like our work together to look like. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, a little more grounded, and with a sense of whether I feel like the right person to walk alongside you.
