Great to meet you!

I'm Cholana Nichols, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) with a Master's degree, specializing in trauma work with individual adults. I take a collaborative, curious approach. Clients often describe working with me as thoughtful and warm. I'll respect your autonomy throughout. You’re in control of your goals and your healing. I’m just here to facilitate your progress.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in CBT and AIP, which I use as flexible tools rather than rigid formulas. I work across a wide range of trauma — childhood and complex trauma, relational and attachment wounds, single-incident trauma, and phobias. Sessions tend to be analytical and exploratory. I adapt quickly to your needs, and I work best with adults who are ready to change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting oriented — I'll want to understand what's bringing you in, what you've tried before, and what you actually want from therapy. I won't push you to share more than you're ready to. You can expect me to be curious, honest, and focused. By the end, we'll have a clearer sense of whether we're a good fit and what working together might look like.
