Great to meet you!

You want a therapist you can actually talk to, who listens closely, asks real questions, and knows what they’re doing. I work with teens, adults, and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, substance use, stress, anger, major life changes, or simply feeling stuck.

I’m dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor and have worked in outpatient, inpatient, school-based, crisis, forensic, and co-occurring treatment settings. That experience has taught me to look beyond symptoms, understand the bigger picture, and tailor therapy to the person in front of me.

My style is practical, straightforward, open-minded, and collaborative. You do not need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before you start. We can begin with what is actually going on, make sense of it together, and focus on changes that matter in your day-to-day life.

Come as you are. We’ll go from there.

My approach to therapy

I’m an active therapist, not a silent observer. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions that get beneath the surface, offer honest feedback, and help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. When it is helpful, I’ll challenge you, but never from a place of judgment.

Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. We’ll work to understand not only what you are feeling, but why it keeps happening and what you can actually do about it. I draw from ACT, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness, Gestalt, and other approaches, adapting therapy to you rather than trying to fit you into one particular method.

Some sessions may focus on coping skills and practical changes. Others may go deeper into relationships, trauma, grief, past experiences, values, or patterns you have carried for years. The goal is not just insight or feeling better during the session. It is to help you understand yourself better, handle life more effectively, and make meaningful change that carries into your life outside of therapy.

If you want a therapist who will listen closely, be real with you, and help you move forward, we may be a good fit.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will give me the information I need to understand the bigger picture of what is happening in your life and what you want to change. I’ll guide the conversation as we talk about what brought you in, what you have already tried, what has or has not helped, and the experiences or patterns that may be affecting you now. I want the process to feel like a real conversation where you can begin making sense of what is going on.

By the end of our first meeting, my goal is for you to feel heard, have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to the problem, and leave with a sense of where we are headed and what we can begin working on.

As we continue working together, you can expect me to be actively engaged in the process. I’ll offer honest feedback, help you recognize patterns, teach practical tools when they are useful, and go deeper when that is what the work requires. We’ll pay attention to what is helping, what is getting in the way, and progress can be made.

If this sounds like the kind of therapy you have been looking for, choose a time that works for you and book your first session.
