Great to meet you!

Welcome, I'm Chris! Frequent conditions that I treat are ADHD, anxiety, depressed mood, OCD, family conflict, relationship tension, self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, trauma, and work-related stress management. My academic background consists of a Master's of Social Work from the University of Alabama. My personal interests include video games, pets, and nature. I look forward to meeting you!

A bit about my approach to therapy

My clinical approach has developed from techniques associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) certification, and Person-Centered principles. I have acquired clinical experience in multiple mental health conditions, as well as a diverse range of individuals and families. I'm a firm believer in the significance of learning from our errors, and that we are our most productive when we work together.

What you can expect from our first session

Sessions could be perceived as phases. The initial phase will focus on assessment. Assessment is an information-gathering process that you and I will utilize to determine our most effective path forward. Following assessment, our next phase will involve development of goals, designed to reduce the severity and frequency of stressors identified during assessment. Goals formation will guide us to implementation of actions moving forward. Our final phase will focus on sustained symptom management.
