Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Chris Hermesch, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas and Missouri. The foundation of the therapy I do is based on Mindfulness based cognitive therapy. I am also trained in and utilize many other therapy methods including Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Imago Relational therapy, and EMDR. I see clients primarily through teletherapy but I also do outdoor sessions as as well as limited office sessions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Using my 15 years of experience of working in the community and private mental health field, I bring a wide variety of tools to help clients create the change they are looking for and create their life worth living. If I don’t have a tool that fits the person’s needs, I work to learn, with my clients, the tools that best match their present needs. My primary specialty/ experience is working with individuals who have multiple layers of trauma that causes many layers of suffering in their lives.

What you can expect from our first session

It is my hope that my clients walk away from each session feeling like the make more sense and they have more of an idea of how to skillfully take care of their present moment.

I enjoy working with people from diverse ethnic, religious, and spiritual backgrounds, those who fit under the umbrella of neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, etc), as well as those of all sexual orientations and gender identifications. I am a sex positive and kink friendly therapist.
