Great to meet you!

Welcome. My name is Chris and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over twenty years. I have been providing therapy for many different types of people during that time with a special emphasis on managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, faith-based needs and multicultural issues. I am grateful for every opportunity I have to serve others and to contribute to their health journey.

My approach to therapy

I am pretty informal in my approach, but I take people's thoughts, feelings and needs very seriously. I have used many different approaches to providing care over the years and I have found benefits in different schools of thought depending upon what works best for each individual. With that said, I have found that our thoughts and beliefs tend to shape almost everything we feel and do. The healthier our thoughts and beliefs are, the healthier we tend to be.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I would just like to hear about you and what kinds of things you feel that you need some help with at this time. I also would like for you to get a feel for me and see if I am someone you are comfortable sharing with. Everyone is not for everybody and that is ok. But in order for therapy to be as useful as possible, it is important that you feel like you are working with someone who is a good fit for you. If the fit seems like a good one, then we can talk about some of your goals for treatment and how we can work together to try to and meet as many of those goals as possible.
