Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner with seven years' experience diagnosing and prescribing medications with over 12 years' experience as a mental health nurse. My journey in mental health began with a passion for helping individuals navigate the complexities of their thoughts and emotions. I believe that mental health is as crucial as physical health, and I strive to ensure that my clients receive the compassionate care they deserve.

My mission is to help clients not just reduce symptoms, but improve quality of life, functioning, and emotional resilience. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I bring extensive experience treating mood disorders, substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and psychotic disorders. My approach is comprehensive, evidence-based, and grounded in respect for each client’s lived experience.

I understand that many individuals present with overlapping challenges — addiction intertwined with depression, trauma contributing to anxiety, or psychosis complicated by substance use. My focus is on treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms.

My approach to therapy

I prioritize building trust. Clients are more than diagnoses; I take time to understand your story, strengths, and goals. Treatment decisions are made together. I provide education about diagnoses and medication options so you can make informed choices. My practice is grounded in current research, evidenced based, and best-practice guidelines while remaining flexible to individual needs. I consider the full picture: mental health, physical health, sleep, stress, trauma history, relationships, and lifestyle.

What you can expect from me

A thorough psychiatric assessment exploring symptoms, medical history, trauma history, family background, and current stressors. This may include medication management, psychotherapy integration, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals when appropriate. Thoughtful prescribing with careful monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. I aim for the lowest effective dose and avoid unnecessary polypharmacy.
