Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and extensive experience working with individuals facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, substance use, severe mental illness, and life stressors. I have trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the VA, where I provided evidence-based care to veterans managing complex mental health concerns. In therapy, I strive to create a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is grounded in research-based practices while also being flexible to meet the unique needs of each person with whom I work.

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, where we work together to understand challenges and build on strengths. I specialize in helping people who are coping with substance use concerns, mood disorders, and the stress that comes with major life changes. I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing, but I also tailor each session to fit the individual needs and goals of my clients. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring what’s going on and develop strategies that lead to meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater clarity, practical tools, and a sense of support. Together, we’ll set goals that feel realistic and meaningful, whether that’s learning new ways to manage stress, improving relationships, or building skills to cope with mental health challenges. I aim to create an environment that feels safe, respectful, and empowering—where progress is possible at your pace. My hope is that clients walk away not only with strategies for immediate challenges, but also with a stronger foundation for long-term growth and resilience.
