Great to meet you!

Driven by a deep curiosity about the human mind and what helps people build a life worth living, I pursued my training at some of the world's most respected institutions.

I completed my general psychiatry residency at the Mayo Clinic—perennially the #1 ranked hospital in the world—where I was immersed in a culture of patient-centered excellence and had the privilege of training with legends in the field. Following this, I further honed my sub-specialty expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry with a fellowship at NYU, New York State's #1-ranked academic medical center, gaining valuable clinical experience at the forefront of modern psychiatric care.

This advanced training is built upon a distinguished foundation, beginning with a bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Cornell University and a medical degree from the Zucker School of Medicine, an affiliate of Northwell Health, New York's largest and most awarded hospital system. This journey has shaped my core belief: the best care combines evidence-based science with genuine compassion.

Beyond my clinical work, I actively contribute to the field by presenting research and giving talks to fellow clinicians at international conferences, such as those held by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My commitment to providing evidence-based care is rooted in continuous learning. My contributions through peer-reviewed publications—as an author, reviewer, and academic journal editor—ensure that my practice is grounded in the most current, evidence-based knowledge. This dedication to scientific excellence is matched by a genuinely caring and empathetic approach, through which I aim to create a therapeutic environment where my patients feel both expertly guided and deeply understood. You can find my publications on PubMed or ResearchGate.

My approach to therapy

When requesting a consultation, please send me a message stating what mental health services you are seeking, so I can better understand your needs.

Our work begins with a comprehensive virtual evaluation to understand your unique story, treatment background, and goals. We then collaboratively create a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan with medications, if needed. Progress means more than symptom reduction; it's gaining practical day-to-day skills and deeper insight into yourself. I best serve motivated individuals and families who are curious and ready to change and improve with my service. I prefer to see clients who are seeking a long-term psychiatrist and not just an one-time consultation/second-opinion.

What you can expect from me

My primary goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and hopeful. You can expect to gain:

  • Deeper Insight: A clearer understanding of the concerns you or your child are facing, clarifying complex feelings or behaviors.
  • Practical Strategies: Evidence-based tools and coping mechanisms tailored to your specific situation.
  • Medication Management: Using appropriate mental health medications to help decrease certain symptoms that have been causing a functional impairment.
  • A Collaborative Plan: A clear, actionable treatment plan that we've developed together, outlining the steps towards achieving your own goals.
