Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Chrisanna Mastorakis, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Ph.D. in Psychology and over 13 years of counseling experience. I work with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, relationship stress, and major life transitions. My background includes clinical work, teaching psychology at the college level, and specialized training in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My goal is to help clients feel understood while also giving them practical tools to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I help clients understand the patterns, beliefs, and emotional habits that may be keeping them stuck, while also building healthier ways to cope and respond. I often use CBT and REBT-based strategies, along with a trauma-informed lens, to support both insight and real-life change. Therapy with me is supportive, but also active and focused on helping you move forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you would like to work toward. I aim to create a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly at your own pace. We will begin identifying your main concerns, your goals, and what kind of support may be most helpful for you. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.
