Great to meet you!

My name is Chriscia Bane, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I work with individuals across the lifespan to support emotional well-being, manage psychiatric conditions, and empower clients to lead more balanced, fulfilling lives.

I am dual certified w/ Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for psychiatric mental health conditions through the lifespan and family practice through the lifespan from Herzing University and Northern Kentucky University. Undergraduate work was completed at Morehead State and hold national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). My training and clinical experience have allowed me to work in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and community mental health programs.

In my practice, I specialize in diagnosing and treating a range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • ADHD
  • PTSD and trauma-related issues
  • Insomnia
  • Mood and stress-related conditions

As a PMHNP, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy. I take a holistic and patient-centered approach, which means I consider your physical, emotional, social, and lifestyle factors when creating a personalized treatment plan.

My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. Whether you're starting care for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a client-centered, compassionate approach that values your unique experiences and needs. My goal is to help you understand and manage your mental health while empowering you to make informed decisions about your care.

I combine evidence-based treatment with a holistic perspective, considering physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors. Together, we’ll tailor a treatment plan, whether through medication management, therapy, or both, that fits your goals.

I prioritize a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. As your partner in care, I’m committed to ongoing support, adjusting treatment as needed to ensure you make steady progress toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

What Clients Can Expect to Take Away from Sessions

When working with me, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of your mental and emotional health, along with practical tools to manage your well-being.

After each session, you’ll leave with:

  1. Clarity and Insight: You’ll have a clearer understanding of your mental health, including the root causes of distress and how it’s impacting your life. This insight is the first step in finding meaningful solutions.
  2. Personalized Coping Strategies: Whether it’s managing anxiety, overcoming depressive thoughts, or coping with stress, I’ll work with you to develop tailored coping strategies you can apply in your everyday life.
  3. Empowerment and Confidence: I aim to help you feel more in control of your mental health by providing the knowledge and tools to manage symptoms, set goals, and track your progress.
  4. Medication Guidance (if applicable): For clients seeking medication management, I provide clear explanations about prescribed medications, their effects, and how they fit into your overall treatment plan.
  5. A Safe, Nonjudgmental Space: Each session offers a space for you to express your thoughts and emotions openly, where you can feel heard, respected, and supported.
