Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist with training in educational, school, and counseling psychology. My experience includes psychological assessment, evidence-based intervention, consultation, learning and development, family support, and systems-level work. I’ve had the opportunity to work from many different sides of the table, which has shaped the way I understand people and approach problem-solving. I work with adults, children, teens, parents, and families dealing with stress, anxiety, mood concerns, ADHD, parenting and family concerns, life transitions, and questions about learning, behavior, or daily functioning.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from a person-first lens. I am not here to judge, lecture, or assume I already understand your life. My goal is to build an honest, collaborative partnership where I take time to understand your circumstances, and we work together to develop a plan that moves you closer to your goals. My style is straightforward and solution-focused. Whenever possible, I prefer a shorter-term, goal-directed approach rather than traditional open-ended talk therapy. I believe effective therapy is useful, practical, and specific to each individual client.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my goal is to understand what brought you in, what has not been working, and what you would like to be different. I will ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, stressors, and what you may have already tried before coming in. I will also explain how I work so you can decide whether it feels like a good fit. Before we end, we will identify what seems most important to focus on first and what the next steps should be.
