Great to meet you!

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Work and later my Master's in Social Work, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have extensive experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and major life transitions. While I welcome adults from all backgrounds, I have a special passion and expertise in working with Women of Color. I understand the unique pressures many women carry—the expectation to always be strong, care for everyone else, and keep pushing even when they're emotionally exhausted. My goal is to provide a culturally responsive, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you're navigating grief, divorce, burnout, empty nesting, or rediscovering yourself, I'll meet you with compassion, honesty, and practical tools to help you move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest without fear of judgment. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I specialize in working with Women of Color, helping them navigate the unique pressures of balancing family, career, relationships, and identity while prioritizing their own emotional well-being. Together, we'll identify unhealthy patterns, build healthier coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and create lasting change—not just temporary relief.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you—not judging you. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, strengths, and challenges so we can develop goals that are meaningful to you. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful. Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety or depression, healing from grief or trauma, navigating a life transition, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, we'll work together at a pace that feels comfortable while creating meaningful, lasting change.
