Christian Noel Evangelista

Hello, my name is Christian Evangelista, PMHNP, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with extensive experience in both acute and outpatient psychiatric care. My clinical background includes over eight years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience, providing care to individuals with complex and severe mental health conditions.

In addition to my clinical work, I bring a strong academic foundation, with five years of experience as a BSN instructor and two years as a psychiatric program manager for an RN-to-BSN program, where I oversaw psychiatric clinical rotations. These roles have strengthened my commitment to evidence-based practice, mentorship, and high-quality patient care.

I have four years of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults ranging from ages 11 to 65+. My clinical expertise includes the management of both acute and chronic psychiatric conditions across a wide range of diagnoses. I continue to practice in the inpatient setting while expanding my work in outpatient care to provide continuity and long-term support for my patients.

I am deeply passionate about mental health care and am motivated each day by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in my patients’ lives. My approach emphasizes compassionate, individualized treatment and a commitment to ongoing, collaborative care to support each patient’s journey toward stability and improved well-being.

I strive to be fully present with my patients by listening closely and truly empathizing with their concerns. I believe that medication, therapy, and empathy together form the foundation of effective psychiatric care. However, I also strongly believe in individualized treatment, recognizing that each person’s experience and needs are unique.

During your first session, my priority is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard. We will spend time discussing your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and what led you to seek care. I’ll ask questions about your mental health, medical background, medications, and lifestyle to gain a full understanding of your needs.

This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your goals for treatment. Together, we will begin developing an individualized care plan, which may include therapy recommendations, medication options if appropriate, and supportive strategies tailored to you. There is no pressure or expectation to share more than you are comfortable with, and everything is approached at your pace.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, respected, and confident that we are working collaboratively toward your mental health and well-being.
