I have over 30 years experience in the field and 25 years as a therapist. I received a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in 2000. I work with adults and adolescents in addressing depression/bipolar, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, anger, suicidal thoughts, life changes, illness/aging, relationships, sexuality and gender identity, spirituality, and existential issues.
My approach is humanistic, spiritual, existential, and experiential. I work intuitively and creatively from a very supportive client-centered approach. I use genuiness and spontaneity to help clients find the tools which work for them as individuals.
I will help you to identify and realize your inherent wisdom in viewing your life experiences as messages pointing toward your own best development. Together we will also work to change ineffective beliefs about yourself and build effective beliefs toward creating the life you really want.
In the first few sessions I allow clients to speak freely and spontaneously about themselves and their life as I listen very intently. I really want to get to know who you are as a whole person. I will provide intuitive input as needed to help you develop your innate awareness and identify choice points to naturally move you toward increased alignment with your core self. You have everything you need already, my goal is to help you remove mental and emotional obstacles and identify and use those inherent skills.
