Great to meet you!

Hey there. I’m sure you’re doing the best you can to find someone to best help you. So, here’s a little about me and what I can do: I’ve been helping people grow from a range of challenges including addiction, attachment styles, codependency, family systems, self esteem, grief and loss. My background includes working with young adults, adults, and geriatric populations in major hospital settings with chronic health conditions, outpatient, intensive outpatient, medication assisted treatment, and residential treatment programs. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in 2014. I’m also a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida for Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.

My approach to therapy

Creating a safe and welcoming space is where we begin. I believe your success and happiness should come from within you, so my while approach is a mix of different therapy styles, my main focus is to honor your humanity with wherever you are, where you want to go, and how you want to get there.

Specific approaches include psychodynamic, humanistic, client-centered approaches, and techniques like Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other while we discuss what your goals are, what has and hasn’t worked for you, as well as anything else you’d like me to know. This is where we lay the groundwork for getting a good understanding of what happened and what you’d like to do next.
