Great to meet you!

I have been a therapist for 19 years, and I still find this work deeply meaningful and transformative. I will listen closely, ask honest questions, and treat you like a whole person.

Outside of session you will find me in a hot yoga class, buried in whatever my book club picked this month, out on an adventure with my dogs, or at a concert!

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a lot like shopping for a pair of jeans, we need options, not every pair fits every person. Depending on what is going on in your life, we might explore your thought patterns and core beliefs, using CBT or mindfulness-based approaches, pay attention to what your body is holding through somatic work, or look at your relationships and attachment history to understand where certain patterns come from. If something specific needs to shift soon, we focus there.

I am direct and collaborative. I will name what I notice, and I will always check it against your own sense of things. You set the pace, and we go at a speed that feels manageable.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I will ask what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to share. There is no pressure to tell the whole story on day one.
