Great to meet you!

My name is Chrissy, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. Before entering the mental health field, I spent many years as a business owner in leadership and management roles with client-focused responsibilities, which is where I found my passion for helping people find themselves. My life experiences continue to inform my understanding of human dynamics, relationships, and especially people going through life transitions. I strive to help clients turn worrying into wondering, stress into effective time management, and hardship into assets that can ultimately transform their lives for the better.

My approach to therapy

I believe that investing in yourself yields the greatest return. While we are shaped by our past experiences, we are not defined by them. My approach integrates attachment theory, existential exploration, and humanistic principles to help clients understand longstanding patterns, navigate life's challenges, and cultivate deeper, more meaningful relationships. By using positive psychology, I help clients find small moments that can amount to greater life satisfaction. Therapy isn't simply symptom reduction, but an opportunity to explore who you truly are, what matters the most, and how you want to live in the face of uncertainty, perceived limitations, and challenges. Depending on your preference, our sessions can feel like a conversation you reflect on for days after, bringing you to new awareness and understanding, or we can break down each therapeutic technique and intervention to see how the process can effect change in thinking patterns and behavioral habits.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation. Ideally, we would begin with a consultation to ensure your goals and reasons for seeking help align with my skills and best serve you in the therapeutic relationship. If so, I will assist in scheduling your first session, and we will explore what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we'll begin exploring the experiences and relationship patterns that may be influencing your current challenges.
