Great to meet you!

I decided to be a therapist in my mid-to-late twenties. I realized that I wanted to help people feel loved and to learn how to love themselves in a world that teaches us all the ways we are not acceptable. It is one of my greatest joys when a client learns to love themselves inspite of their struggles and traumas. We are all inherently enough.

I bring my personal authenticity into each session to encourage you in finding and expressing your authenticity. Everyone needs to know they are cared for and accepted as they are, and it is important to me you feel this in our sessions. YOU are the expert in you and I am the expert in mental health. TOGETHER, we help you overcome your struggles.

My approach to therapy

I like to create an atmosphere like you are talking with a friend. Kind, loving, and honest without the stuffiness of therapy. You are welcome to talk about any subject matter that you need or want to talk about in therapy, including pizza pockets, sex, or religion! With me, you are always safe no matter the subject matter, even if you swear.

I look at your whole picture: mind-body connections and make necessary recommendations to help you. Treatment is customized and catered to meet your specific needs and goals. If an approach I am using isn't working, I will immediately change direction so that therapy meets your needs. This process is about 100% about you.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I will usually all the official housekeeping items first. Then we'll move on to talking about you and what brings you to therapy. You are invited to talk and share as much as you are comfortable. I might ask tough questions but if you aren't yet ready to talk about the hard stuff, we'll put it on pause for next time.
