Great to meet you!

Christina Billings is a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in working with moderate to severe mental health populations. She utilizes evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients in healing from trauma. Christina brings extensive experience working with high-acuity individuals navigating complex trauma, severe mood disorders, and significant life stressors. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build lasting emotional resilience and stability.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I work from the belief that healing occurs when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered, especially those navigating complex or high-acuity mental health concerns. I integrate modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to meet clients where they are, supporting them in building insight, resilience, and sustainable coping skills while honoring their lived experiences.

What you can expect from me

The first therapy session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will review your reasons for seeking therapy, discuss relevant history, and explore your current goals and concerns at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I will also explain my approach to therapy, confidentiality, and what therapy may look like moving forward. This session is a collaborative space for you to ask questions and share as much or as little as you feel ready to.
