Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Christina Davis, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges. I have extensive experience working in community mental health, where I have supported individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. I earned my master's degree in counseling from Capella University and later obtained my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree with an emphasis in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. My clinical approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, and achieve meaningful growth.

My approach to therapy

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices, I strive to meet clients where they are in their journey. When working with children, I utilize developmentally appropriate play-based interventions that allow them to express emotions, process experiences, and build coping skills in a natural and engaging way. With adolescents and adults, I focus on increasing self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy communication while helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will gather information about your concerns, background, strengths, and goals while providing a safe space for you to share at your own pace. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about how therapy works. Together, we will begin creating a plan to help you move toward your goals and build on your strengths. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we will do together.
