Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Christina Vaughans, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based mental health care to adults.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My clinical background includes experience in outpatient psychiatry, telepsychiatry, crisis mental health services, and correctional psychiatry. This diverse experience has allowed me to work with individuals from many different backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health concerns.

I specialize in the evaluation and medication management of anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, mood disorders, and other common psychiatric conditions. I understand that medication is only one part of mental wellness, so I take time to listen to your concerns, understand your goals, and develop a treatment plan that fits your individual needs and preferences.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free. I believe you should feel heard and involved in decisions about your care. Whether you are seeking treatment for the first time, struggling with symptoms despite previous treatment, or looking for a provider who will take the time to understand your concerns, my goal is to help you feel supported while working toward greater stability and an improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should feel comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free. I take the time to listen, understand what you’re experiencing, and work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. I specialize in medication management for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and mood concerns. My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative—you’ll always have a voice in your care.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a warm, comfortable, and judgment-free space where you feel heard and supported. We’ll work together to identify realistic goals, such as improving your mood, reducing anxiety, sleeping better, increasing focus, or simply feeling more like yourself again. I believe in taking things one step at a time and finding a treatment plan that works for your life. Ultimately, I want you to leave our visits feeling understood, confident in your treatment, and hopeful about your progress.
