Christina LaMonica

Hi! I’m Christina LaMonica. I am a LCSW who has been practicing for 17+ yrs. I have my BA in Psychology from CSU Fullerton, and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from USC Graduate School of Social Work. I have worked as a Therapist in several school systems; as a Director of a foster care and adoption agency; and as a Clinical Director and Therapist for a perinatal group practice. I incorporate several evidence-based practices including narrative therapy, CBT, family systems, and attachment.

I work to provide supportive, client-focused treatment to meet your and your family’s unique needs. I strive to be empathetic, non-judgmental and accepting of what you are going through. I specialize supporting parenting moms & dads, adoption issues, infertility & pregnancy loss, childhood/family of origin trauma, as well as faith transition & religious trauma. Life can be a challenging journey and there’s no need to go it alone.

I love the work I do and I believe the therapeutic relationship to be a powerful component for long-lasting change. My goal with therapy is to provide you with a supportive environment, while equipping you with tools for self-compassion, self-insight, developing self-care, and strategies for maintain positive changes in your life. Whether you are adjusting to a new life circumstance, grieving a loss, processing trauma, or dealing with relationships or parenting, I am here for you.
