Great to meet you!

If you’ve experienced trauma, loss, or relationships that have left you questioning your worth, you may be carrying emotional pain that feels difficult to put into words. You deserve support, understanding, and a space where you can begin to feel like yourself again. With more than 20 years of professional experience as a mental health therapist, coordinator, and counselor, I’ve supported individuals and families through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. I specialize in trauma and related concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, histories of abuse, feelings of abandonment, loss of self, and the lasting effects of narcissistic relationships. I also incorporate animal-assisted therapy into my work and am EAGALA- and AAAIP-certified, with service animals who serve as therapeutic partners. I offer both remote and in-person services and strive to provide steady, compassionate support for people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is grounded in helping you make sense of your experiences, understand how they may be affecting your present, and develop healthier perspectives for the future. Drawing on my experience across inpatient acute care, private practice, outpatient clinics, and community outreach, I tailor our work to your individual needs, strengths, and goals. When appropriate, animal-assisted therapeutic approaches may also be part of our work together. We’ll focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and helping you move toward greater emotional balance and well-being at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first sessions are an opportunity to get to know one another, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and identify the changes you hope to make. We’ll work together to establish meaningful goals and explore the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be getting in the way of your well-being. Whether we meet remotely or in person, I aim to offer a supportive environment where you can speak openly and feel respected throughout the process. You don’t need to have all the answers before starting therapy. We’ll take the journey one step at a time, working toward greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of emotional wellness.
