Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in CA with over 14 years experience in Substance Abuse and Addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, and Trauma.

I graduated with my BA in Psychology at California State University Long Beach and received my MA in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family at National University in 2011.

I've worked in Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Treatment Centers across CA, school districts with teen moms, at-risk youth, and individual counseling at a quasi-military base.

I'm trained in multiple modalities including Psychodynamic, Attachment Theories, Mindfulness, Humanistic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My approach to therapy

I understand that choosing a therapist can be difficult. You want someone you can talk to and be completely open and honest with them, without any fear of judgment.

Sometimes in life there are obstacles that may seem overwhelming, and I believe we all have the ability to change, to see these challenges as opportunities to grow, make healthier choices, build stronger relationships, and become the best version of yourself.

Together, we can work through these challenges, begin the healing process, and move forward with a renewed sense of self, confidence, and hope for the future.

I use a client-centered approach, to help clients improve self-awareness, personal growth, and self-acceptance and Psychodynamic and attachment theories to explore how unconscious, repressed emotions and childhood experiences can form a template of how we relate to others and shape our current personality, behaviors, and relationships.

Sometimes our past and childhood experiences can affect us in the present, our ability to trust, and how we relate to others in our relationships.

I use Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Attachment theories, CBT, along with talk therapy to create a safe and healing environment to move forward towards growth. My goal is to help provide you with guidance, hope, and strength.

What you can expect from me

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you start. The first step is beginning therapy. I tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, and strengths.
