Great to meet you!

Christina Martinez, MS, LPC, LCDC-I is a bilingual therapist who provides a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered to make positive changes. She specializes in addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, Christina helps clients build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and work toward lasting healing and recovery. She is passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths and create healthier, more fulfilling lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, supportive, and centered around each client's unique needs. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where clients can openly discuss their challenges and work toward their goals at their own pace.

I specialize in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, including Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also help clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and trauma.

Above all, I believe therapy should be personalized. I strive to meet clients where they are, build on their strengths, and help them gain the insight, confidence, and tools needed to create a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and welcoming first session focused on building rapport and understanding their needs. We will review informed consent and the limits of confidentiality, discuss what brings them to therapy, and identify areas they would like to work on. Together, we will begin developing treatment goals and a personalized treatment plan to guide the therapeutic process and support meaningful growth.
