Great to meet you!

My name is Christina Oxley and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Illinois. I have always had a genuine interest in people and the different ways we all try to make sense of ourselves and the world. I enjoy helping people with a variety of problems.

I take a collaborative approach where my job is to help you to find out who you are, what you need, what you want, and what is standing in your way.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I understand that each person is different so I draw from many different psychological approaches to meet the individual needs of those I work with. However, the number one indicator for success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. For me the most important thing is that those I work with feel safe, cared for, and understood. I seek to provide a comfortable space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is that through our work you will have a better understanding of yourself, greater self-acceptance, and have the tools to better manage life stressors, improve your relationships, and create a life that you want.
