Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Chris! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with youth and adults navigating chronic stress, past trauma, and overwhelming life transitions. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have a particular passion for working with perinatal parents, women navigating menopause, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In my work with perinatal parents, I support clients in processing birth trauma, coping with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and the stress that can come with the transition into parenthood. With youth, I focus on helping clients process trauma, build supportive relationships, manage school-related stress, and navigate other life challenges. I also work with LGBTQ+ clients as they move through life transitions, cope with minority stress, and heal from familial or religious trauma.
I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective and believe that trust is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic relationship. I also believe clients should have the strongest voice in shaping the course of their treatment. I work collaboratively with clients to explore how different systems in their lives—such as family, work, school, and relationships—may influence their experiences and contribute to the concerns that bring them to therapy.
I’d be honored to support you in your healing journey. Reach out today to schedule your first session.
