Great to meet you!

As a social worker, I utilize a person-centered approach meaning I treat every client differently as individuals who both bring strengths and limitations into treatment. I seek to empower individuals to build upon those strengths in order to decrease the influence of those limitations. I bring 15 years of experience in mental health into the therapeutic process and consider the person-in-environment, providing suggestions for resources to assist the individual with their goals as I believe that every person is doing their best, but may not have the tools to function at their best.

My approach to therapy

I do not believe that therapy should be a lifelong process. I operate according to a brief treatment approach to get you feeling better and back to the things that matter to you in your life. I do offer follow-up support at the frequency you may need in order to maintain yourself at your best.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will continue to get to know each other. I will follow your pace in order to collect a history of relevant experiences. However, I know that people often come into treatment with an issue that they need to focus on now. I practice patience in meeting you where you need to be, and acknowledge that the full intake process may take several sessions depending on the current reason for entering treatment.
